Kersten Knipp écrit: "[…] C'est une oeuvre calme et réflective que les artistes en ont fait, sensible et d'une dramaturgie retenue. La danseuse Yumi Yamada et le guitariste Robin Brown montrent aussi qu'il ne faille pas forcément être andalou pour faire du bon flamenco. Europe's leading dance magazine TANZ has reviewed Petenera – a Flamenco Drama in Music and Dance in its April print issue:

Critic Kersten Knipp writes: "The authors have created a quiet, reflective piece […], sensitive and dramatically withheld. Dancer Yumi Yamada and guitarist Robin Brown also show that one must not necessarily be from Andalusia in order to perform excellent flamenco. The pilgrimage that the catholic kings once started has been long since pursued by the artists. They wander their way through styles and traditions – in this case undeniably to the advantage of the Art."

El Festival de Nîmes ha comenzado y la aclamada familia Galván es parte de ello una vez más. Estamos orgullosos de informarles que el maestro José Galván presentará talleres de enseñanza en Nîmes el Viernes y el Sábado 22 y 23 de Enero (Garrotín y Tientos), y tendrá con él por venta, un surtido limitado de nuestro DVD Petenera – un drama flamenco en música y baile. Si puede ir, no se pierda la oportunidad única de ver al maestro en vivo y con suerte obtener una edición autografiada.

Wir freuen uns, Euch mitteilen zu können, daß der unbestrittene maestro José Galván am Freitag und Samstad 22. & 23. Januar unterrichten wird (Garrotín & Tientos), und er wird mit einem limitierten Bestand Petenera – a Flamenco Drama in Music and Dance DVDs bewaffnet sein. Wenn Ihr es schafft, verpasst nicht diese Gelegenheit den maestro höchstpersönlich bei der Arbeit zu sehen, und ein Exemplar, vielleicht sogar mit Autogramm, mit nach Hause zu nehmen!

Josés Sohn Israel Galván, inzwischen Tänzer der Tänzer getauft, wird sein El Final de este estado de cosas, redux am Sonntag, 17. Januar um 18:00 Uhr aufführen, indem er "die Offenbarung Johannes" interprätiert. Es wird eine unvergessliche Vorstellung.


Seine bezaubernde Schwester Pastora Galván ist ebenfalls in Nîmes mit ihrer Show Pastora am Do. 21. Januar.  Die jüngste Star der Famille hat sich schon längst im Ausland wie zu Hause mit ihrem individuellem Styl und ihrer eigenen Flamencosprache etabliert. Für uns ist Pastora eine Segnung der Bühne.
