The Festival de Nîmes has begun and the acclaimed Galván clan is part of it once again. We are proud to inform you that Seville's undisputed maestro José Galván will be teaching workshops in Nîmes on Friday and Saturday 22 & 23 of January (Garrotín & Tientos), and he will be armed with a limited stock of Petenera – a flamenco drama in music and dance DVDs. If you can make it, don't miss the unique opportunity to see the maestro at work himself and to get a hold of perhaps even an autographed edition.
* And don't miss this:
José's son Israel Galván, christened dancer of all dancers, will be performing El Final de este estado de cosas, redux on Sunday January 17 at 6:00 p.m. in which he interprets St. John's "The Apocalypse" This is bound to be an unforgettable performance.
Israel's irresistible sister Pastora Galván will be there too with her show Pastora on Thursday, January 21. The youngest of the family stars has long since established herself internationally as well as at home with her individual style and flamenco language. We think Pastora is a blessing on stage.
Have a wonderful festival!
